A message from Paris posted by Clare Payne (Jean Smith's daughter):
"I wanted to thank everyone on the Avenue for their gifts and cards since the birth of the twins, and I thought the website would be a good place to start as I'm out of the country at the moment. A big Merci from us all here - I can't honestly believe how generous people have been. And if anyone ever needs a crash pad in Paris then they'll be more than welcome, as long as they don't mind doing a night shift!"
